Laminate Flooring
It is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product, fused together with a lamination process. It simulates wood (or stone, in some cases) with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer. The inner core layer is usually composed of melamine resin and fiber board materials. There is sometimes a glue backing for ease of installation. It has the advantages that it is durable, as compared with carpet, and attractive, at a lower cost as compared to natural floor materials.
It is the perfect choice for those wishing to save money, and make installation and maintenance easier for them in the long run.
Laminate is a hard wearing floor and it is a perfect long lasting option for all your rooms. We offer wood and tile effect laminate flooring in a range of styles in light, medium and dark shades… It is a easy to clean, with stains easy to wipe away.
It is reasonably easy for installing it by yourself. It is packaged as a number of tongue and groove planks, which can be clicked into one another easily. Installed laminate floors typically “float” over the sub-floor on top of a foam, which provides moisture and reduce sound in the room. A small gap is required between the flooring and any immovable object such as walls, this allows the flooring to expand without being obstructed. Baseboards can be removed and then reinstalled after laying of the flooring is complete for a neater finish, then small beading trims such as shoe molding or the larger quarter-round molding can be fitted to the bottoms of the baseboards.
